ROBiTs is a card drafting and set collection game designed by John Hex Carter and Mat Nicholson. Players are tasked with building their very own ROBiT by drafting cards from rows laid out on the table. A complete ROBiT requires legs, a torso, two arms, and a head in order to be scored at the end of the round, and players will score set bonuses for building their ROBiT out of pieces from the same set! Remember, incomplete ROBiTs won't score at the end of the round, so try to get all the necessary pieces, even if you need to use some Junk to fill in the gaps!
Players will deal out a row of seven cards, face-up, and then deal an additional row of seven cards, face-down, for each player. This grid of cards is the Assembly Line, and players will take turns selecting a card (either face-up or face-down), revealing the card if it's face-down, and placing it in their play area. If a face-up card was selected, flip over the face-down card above it in the Assembly Line before play passes to the next player.
When each player has seven cards in their play area, it's time to get building! Each player will build a ROBiT out of the pieces they drafted. Each ROBiT will need a Head, a Torso, a pair of Legs, and two Arms to be complete. If you're missing a piece, you can always use a piece of junk to fill in the holes. Even if you can't complete a full ROBiT, make the best one you can!
Once each player has built their best ROBiT, scoring can begin! Each piece of your ROBiT has a number in the upper left-hand corner. Score points equal to the combined value of these numbers, even if your ROBiT is incomplete. If you managed to complete your ROBiT, you'll also score a Bot Bonus for the pieces of your ROBiT from the same color set! The player with the highest overall score wins!
